Macadu, with Mark McMillin behind the wheel, won first in class and first overall at the BAHA 1000 in 1981, which was just the beginning.

The winning combination went on to win first in class and first overall in the BAJA 1000 in 1983, 1984, 1986 and 1988. In 1985 and 1987, Mark and Macadu won first in class and second overall in the BAJA 1000.
